Spectacular Philosopher and Jazz Thinker
He is the bridge between knowledge, poetry, and wonder in GereBros projects.

“Science told like the blues. Thought played like art.”

Angelo Adamo walks the invisible line between science and art.
Philosopher, writer, performer, harmonica player — and author of essays that read like novels, and novels that echo essays.

With GereBros, he weaves his talent as both thinker and storyteller into projects where complexity needs beauty, and beauty needs meaning.

He has collaborated with major scientific and cultural institutions — from INFN to CERN — bringing critical thinking into the realm of public storytelling and performative aesthetics.

Angelo’s role in GereBros projects is that of a spectacular intellectual: he makes you think, yes — but never forgets to make you feel.

Angelo Adamo holds a PhD in Physics and Astrophysics and multiple degrees in Astronomy, Multimedia Music, and Comic Book Languages, as well as a Master’s in Science Communication from SISSA. A member of S.A.It. and S.I.A., he has worked at several INAF observatories (Asiago, Bologna, Catania, Palermo), at GAL Hassin (Isnello), and at the Planetarium and Museum of Astronomy in Rome.

He’s the author of numerous publications that blend scientific depth with narrative flair, including:

  • Pianeti tra le note – Appunti di un astronomo divulgatore (Springer, 2009)

  • Storie di soli e di lune (Giraldi, 2009)

  • Stelle di neutroni (RCS MediaGroup, 2017)

  • A short story in Tutti i numeri sono uguali a cinque (Springer, 2008)

  • La pazza scienza (Sironi, 2017, with Luca Perri)

  • A science dossier on life in the universe (Torinoscienza.it)

He has written for Le Stelle, L’Astronomia, Coelum, La Macchina del Tempo, Orione, and Il Giornale di Astronomia.

In the world of comics and visual storytelling, he has collaborated with INFN, INAF, EVN, Il Sole 24 Ore, and M.A.S. Notable works include Astrokids (INAF–Scienza Express, 2014), and illustrations for Boxe at Gleason’s Gym by M. Arena.

As a musician and harmonica player, he has released several albums:
Quanta, Film Ciechi, My Foolish Harp, Caronte, Brother Buster (with M. Dalpane), The Night Has a Thousand Eyes (with G. di Leone and F. Angiuli), and Solo, Duo, Trio – Senza un piano di riferimento.

He won first prize at the 2009 International Harmonica Festival in Parnu, Estonia.
In the pop scene, he has performed with Gianni Morandi, Claudio Lolli, Samuele Bersani, Tiziano Ferro, Il Parto delle Nuvole Pesanti, and John De Leo.

He has created two theatre shows: Storie di soli e di lune (based on his book) and the astronomical fable Giovannino e il Cosmo. He has acted and performed live with Ida Di Benedetto, Malandrino & Veronica, Matteo Belli, Stefano Benni, and Archivio Z.

For film, he appeared in Paz! and starred in the short film Racconta la storia by OMAS-GereBros. He also played in the soundtracks of Quando le montagne finiscono (1994), Itaker (2013), and Un giorno devi andare (2014).

He writes at: squidzoup.com — where science, music, stories, and wonder meet.
