One of the most interesting — and undoubtedly most complete — storytelling projects we developed was for OMAS, between 2013 and 2016.
Starting from initial brainstorming sessions, we identified the core narrative themes: craftsmanship and material excellence, the passion and genuine involvement of those in the production process, and the idea of tradition within modernity — captured in the symbolic passing of the torch from seasoned artisans to the younger generation. We also defined a clear objective: to produce a video optimized for both web and trade show use.
To mark the company’s 90th anniversary, we directed and produced a short film for OMAS, with concept, script, and direction by Renato and Salvatore Geremicca.
In 2014, the idea emerged to take the visual communication project further, adopting an even more strategic and integrated approach to position the brand in a more contemporary and competitive space.
We created two viral short films — designed to function both as a combined narrative and as stand-alone pieces — along with 15-second edits for display at Harrods London.
From our brainstorming sessions, one insight clearly emerged: every creative or artistic process, in order to take tangible shape, must ultimately be “committed to paper.”
The core of the storytelling, then, revolved around the pen — as the very extension that allows signs, concepts, and ideas to take form. Ideas, after all, are what eventually become things.
We built the narrative around that precise, emotionally charged moment when a thought finds its graphic expression — the instant an idea becomes a visible mark. That was the heart of the videos: a storytelling choice designed to trigger a deep sense of identification in the viewer.
Anyone watching the film has, at some point, sketched something, jotted down an idea, or drawn a line — and would therefore recognize themselves in the protagonists.
As with the first video, we also handled the music direction, commissioning an original soundtrack which was later used as on-hold music for the company’s phone system.
Finally, we completed the project with a full redesign of the website, including graphic layout of the online store, CMS development, and hosting.
We also defined and implemented the web marketing strategy: newsletter setup, SEO, keyword advertising, editorial support, monthly analysis and reporting, content creation, and production of all communication materials.
